Group Classes
Puppy Class Level I
Start early and the training will be easier. This classes covers a variety of topics including safe socialization, potty training, and nipping. Our puppy class also offers actively guided play, as well as training real life-based exercises such as preparation for stress-free vet visits, easy grooming, successful walks and coming when called. Our focus is on teaching people in addition to puppies. You will learn the skills you need to handle new situations—like situational awareness, working at your puppy’s level and problem solving. Classes are 6 weeks long and each class lasts approximately 50 minutes. THIS CLASS OFFERS AN OPEN ENROLLMENT OPTION. PLEASE EMAIL US TO SCHEDULE YOUR ORIENTATION.

Vaccine: First DHPP or DHPP vaccine (specifically Distemper and Parvo) at least 7 days before the first session.

Puppy Class Level II
The Level II Puppy Class is for puppies finishing Level I. Level II follows the same curriculum as Level I, but exercises practiced in this class are a bit more challenging. Focus of these classes: Self-control, coming when called, leash manners and staying focused with distractions. Classes are 6 weeks long and each class lasts approximately 50 minutes. THIS CLASS OFFERS AN OPEN ENROLLMENT OPTION.
Age: 18-24 weeks old when starting the class. Either the completion of Puppy Level 1 the level 6-week program or permission from the instructor.

Good Manners Class
An essential class for a well mannered companion. Dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older learn behaviors like sit, down, wait, polite greeting, give/drop, walking on lead, and coming when called. Handlers learn how to use a clicker, teach behaviors, and how to prevent or modify common behavior challenges. Dog-friendly methods are used throughout. Classes are 7 weeks long (first class is without dogs) and each class lasts approximately 45 minutes. Limited to 6 dogs. Class fee includes a training starter kit with Good Manners Workbook, Freedom harness, clicker & wristband, and treat pouch. $165

The line between training class and real life is blurred with exercises like wait at the door, leave-it while out on a walk, polite greeting while shopping, dinner table downs, and polite loose-leash walking with dog and human distractions. Positive methods are used throughout. Classes are 6 weeks long and each class lasts approximately 45 minutes. Limited to 5 dogs; prerequisite is Level I Good Manners class. $135

Handlers learn different methods of teaching behaviors, and dogs learn tricks like spin & twirl, ride a skateboard, say your prayers, weave, roll over, take a bow… Classes are 6 weeks long and each class lasts approximately 50 minutes. Dog friendly methods are used throughout. Limited to 6 dogs; prerequisite is Level I Good Manners class or permission of the instructor. $125

Social Skills Class - Foundation
Does your dog bark or lunge at other dogs while on walks? Is your dog nervous, stressed, or defensive when encountering new dogs, even from a distance? This highly structured class focuses on modifying reactive or inappropriate behavior toward other dogs. Students gain knowledge and skill in behavior modification techniques by working in short, positive sessions in a safe, controlled environment. The foundation class achieves this by focusing on two complimentary skill sets:

This class is for dogs and their handlers who have made a good start in our Foundation Social Skills class, and would like a few more sessions to meet the prerequisites for the more advanced class. Class sessions are 4 weeks long; each session includes 60-75 minutes of group class weekly. Limited to 4 dogs. Prerequisite: Social Skills Foundation class, or permission of instructor (please email [email protected]). Please note: there is no orientation; all four classes are held with the dogs. $100

Exposure and interaction between student dogs is gradually increased to prepare dogs for success in the real world. We encourage you to repeat this class as many times as desired. Dog friendly methods are used throughout. Class sessions are 4 weeks long; each session includes 60-75 minutes of group class weekly. Limited to 6 dogs. Prerequisite: Social Skills Foundation or Social Skills Next Level class, solid leash walking skills & name recognition (while under threshold).
